Do I need to install anything else?
No. On Mac, everything is built into the app. Connect the iPhone with a USB cable, unlock it and tap "Trust" when it asks.
Are my messages sent anywhere?
No. The copy of your iPhone and the reading of it stay on your computer. Our server only receives the license activation (your key and an anonymous ID for the computer) and anonymous usage statistics, such as "a backup succeeded" along with its size or the number of conversations read. Never the content, names or phone numbers. You can turn these statistics off in the app's Settings.
Does it work with WhatsApp?
Yes, the WhatsApp chats on your iPhone are read with their photos and voice messages.
My backup is encrypted. Is that a problem?
Encrypted backups can be made and restored, but not read: turn off encryption to explore your messages.
Can I use it on someone else's phone?
Only with their consent. PhoneScroll is made to keep and read your own data.
